The BCCI announced the Indian squad for the final three Tests of the five-match series against England on Saturday (February 10) on Twitter.
Virat Kohli did not get a place in the 17-member squad selected for the upcoming matches in Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamsala.
According to an update provided by the BCCI, the former India captain, who missed the first two Tests due to personal reasons, “is not available for selection for the remaining matches of the series due to personal reasons.
” BCCI selectors include KL Rahul and Ravindra. Jadeja is in the squad, but his “participation is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team.”
The selection committee made very few changes in the squad for the last three matches as compared to the squad selected for the first two matches.

Out: Middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer was left out of the 17-member squad announced for the final three Test matches against England. Iyer batted at number 4 for India in the second Test but did not perform well.
There were reports that he was injured, but BCCI did not give any update on this in its release. Apart from them, Uttar Pradesh spinner Saurabh Kumar and fast bowler Avesh Khan, who were included in India’s squad for the second Test, have been dropped from the squad for the remaining three matches of the home series against England.

IN: World No. 1 Test all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has returned to the 17-man squad along with KL Rahul, who scored 86 runs in the first innings of the first Test against England last month. However, his participation is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team.
Along with these two players, Bengal fast bowler Akash Deep also joined the team. The 27-year-old right-arm fast bowler was included in the Indian Test squad for the first time for the last three Test matches.
