According to a report, KKR, RCB and CSK have shown interest in India’s latest sensation.
Gautam Gambhir has signed Kolkata Knight Riders Sarfaraz Khan.
All three IPL franchises have recently shown interest in the talented young Indian player and are looking to sign him for IPL 2024. This player is India’s latest Test debutant, Sarfaraz Khan. Sarfaraz surprisingly went unsold in the IPL 2024 auction held in December 2023.

Sarfaraz was previously part of Delhi Capitals but was released ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. IPL 2023 was bad for him where he scored only 53 runs in four matches. Rs. Despite the base price of 20 lakhs, he did not get any team in IPL 2024. But his recent performances, especially in his Test debut, might have forced the franchises to sign him.
Sarfaraz scored two fifties in Test debut
Sarfaraz recently scored two fifties in the Test match against England at Rajkot. His form with India A has also been good and he has scored runs consistently in domestic cricket as well. His consistency with the bat is crucial for the team during a long tournament like the IPL.
According to a report in Bengali newspaper Dainik Anandabazar magazine, KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir has pushed his franchise to sign Sarfaraz Khan. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings are two other franchises that are interested in the talented right-handed batsman, the report said.

Three franchises, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings, have enough money left in their purse to buy Sarfaraz. RCB has Rs. 2.85 crore with the biggest purse, while KKR and CSK bagged Rs. 1.35 crore and Rs.
In 2015, RCB paid him Rs. Sarfaraz was in the news after signing for 50 lakhs. He was just 17 years old and was the youngest player to play in the IPL at that time. In total, he scored 585 runs in 50 IPL matches at an average of 22.50. But due to his performance in domestic cricket, he was included in India’s Test team.
