India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are the five Asian teams in the tournament that is 1st group. and coming to the second group Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa, and the Netherlands are the five non-Asian teams in the tournament.
India is host the tournament so one of the favorites to win the title. Rohit Sharma is the current captain of the Indian team and he will lead the Indian team in the ICC World Cup 2023. This is the first time he is leading a team in an ODI World Cup.
ICC World Cup 2023 will have a total of 48 matches. The opening match will be held on October 5. The final will be played on November 17. The tournament follows the same round-robin format as the previous edition.
The top two teams qualify for the semifinals. The winners of the semi-finals will face each other in the final. England are the defending champions of the tournament. In the previous edition in 2019, England won the trophy by defeating New Zealand in the final.

ICC World Cup India Captain 2023
Indian captain Rohit Sharma will captain the Indian team for ICC World Cup 2023. However, it is not confirmed as BCCI is yet to announce the captain of the Indian team.
